I am a devourer of the written word and the knowledge it can give me. I am a book dragon laying in the midst of all that I have gathered round me. I am a strong and powerful young woman, reminiscent of many of the female leads in the books I read. I followed Alice down the rabbit hole and Through the Looking Glass, I was with Katniss in the arena, I suffered along with Hester Prynne as she bore The Scarlet Letter. I have: traveled to Narnia, been educated atnHogwarts, and gone on an incredible journey through Middle Earth. I fell over the Reichenbach Falls with Sherlock Holmes; Iworked alongside Dr. Frankenstein as he brought to life his creation; I joined Van Helsing in his hunt of the vampire, Dracula.
First and foremost, I always have been and always will be a bibliophile. I have been traveling the world since I was two-and-a-half, when my family moved to Spain for three years, towards the end of the Cold War, as part of my Dad’s U.S. Air Force career. I continue to foster my need and love of travel by working as a flight attendant. When not at work, or scrounging the bookstore or library shelves, I love nothing more than to curl up on the couch with a cup of tea, book in hand and my dachshund puppy, Ripley, asleep on my lap.
